Sunday July 10, 2011 My little girl is little and having bought her a lovely jacket and 'good' pants, we needed to have the sleeves shortened and the hems taken up.

Monday July 11, 2011 Obviously taken at different times, in fact several weeks apart, the first is before bloom and the second, actually taken early Monday morning, is after bloom.

Tuesday July 12, 2011 Back to my favorite little park, what would I do without you??!!

Wednesday July 13, 2011 We went hiking at Quicksilver Park_the kids, the view, the meadow.

Thursday July 14, 2011 Harry Potter mid-night show. We were made to wait on the roof of the mall, right above The Cheesecake Factory actually, for a couple of hours, from 8: until 10:30 before being let into the theater. The theater sign from the roof, a funny pic of Cindy on the roof and finally inside when the trailers began. I thought to take a photo when Harry began but somehow couldn't bring myself to do so, no one else did either.

Friday July 15, 2011 Same old view AND a brand new one. The first faces our street, the second faces the cross street. It would appear that we will have the plant section facing us which will be very nice.

Saturday July 16, 2011 Over the years, Lauren and I have collected lots of little plastic things from various venues, including hamburger places etc. I keep many of them on a basket hung on the wall on our bathroom. There's Harry, LOTRs, Hello Kitty, Dragon Ball Z with a cutesy pic of Lauren, in her shades, in the background..

The before and after bloom is so great! Love those two pics.

And I really like the one of your favorite little park.

How cool is your collection of toys?

Thanks for sharing hon!

Those plants are so ubiquitius most of the time, but when they bllom, they really stand out. Soon I will have to deadhead them and we'll be back to the 'before' photo. :)

That little park has come in so handy when I just can't think of something else to take plus it gets me out and about which is always good.

That collection spans fourteen or fifteen years...imagiane!

I love the hiking pics, but I was captured by the tailoring shop pics. I love the lines and angles.

it was all the colors the I most liked in the tayloring shope, that she somehow uses all of them amazes me. And Quick Silver is a very large and pretty park, lots of different vista and terrains.

Love the first pic! It's so industrial and crafty at the same time! I also like the pics from your hiking trip. I miss the mountains! :(

The highest point in Louisiana is upstate. It's in the middle of one of the national parks here. You actually have to use a GPS to find it...because the land is so flat here. LOL!

Glad you like that first one as I do for the very same reasons. The hiking was fun, not something we do a lot but here there are so many different trails, it never gets boring.

Love the park pics -- what are the yellow flowers?

I think the Westfield sign pic is my favorite, something about the dramatic composition.

I have no clue what the yellow flowers are, probably some kind of 'weed':)

I'm glad you liked the sign photo, it was the only location shot of the Century Theaters I could manage.

On the roof of the mall? Is this a first for this mall? I've never heard of this. Was there any shade? Drinks? Bathrooms?

Overflow, for two of their several theaters, goes out onto the roof. I should explain that the movie theater is upstairs, like above the food court, you take an escalator to get there. There was no shade, but we lined up at 8pm, so that wasn't a problem. We were let-in around 10pm and once we'd found out seats, we gratefully scattered to the bathrooms and the concession stands.

Okay, that makes more sense, however I still have to wonder if it is more than a conventional roof, such as no wild children running around have any chance of going over the edge cause that would be a real problem for the mall. Not to mention the children.

my impression is that unless there was an epic midnight movie event equal to the release of the final HP movie, no one was allowed on the roof because it would not be inconceivable for some child, or idiot, to fling themselves over the side and thereby plummet to their death, which could put a damper on things, I should imagine.

At the very least popcorn would be spilled.

Since Lauren is going away to college next week, thereby ostensibly deserting me, the ungrateful little..., I was just wondering if you'd be my new bestie, please? You crack me up.

If you want someone like me who is unreliable at best with regard to being present, then sure! I will be your bestie. :)

Unreliability, I thrive on unreliability, so it's a done deal than? cool :)

Then you'll grow taller than Jack's beanstalk! Get ready for the stratosphere.
