Monday December 19, 2011_A Willow Glen window

Tuesday December 20, 2011_Tuesday_We went to the San Jose Repertory Theater to see 'A Christmas Carol' and then we went to P F Changs for a wonderful dinner of crispy honey chicken, broccoli beef and broccoli shrimp with pork fried rice and green tea. Oh, and the play was FANTASTIC BTW!!!

Willow Glen is a favorite photo spot for me, I've gotten some decent shots there.

This was our first time at the Rep and I was impressed. I would recommend this production, we went on a Tuesday, in the middle of the day to keep the expense down which let us out just in time for an early dinner, worked perfectly. What did you see there?

The theater is unusual, I'm not entirely sure I love the outside of it, it's surrounded by older building, all earth tones and late 1800's architecture, but the inside is perfect. The play/ musical was excellent, minimal stage setting but effective with just the right amount of technology. The actors were very talented with wonderful voices. We were happily surprised and would definitely go again.

I'm glad you like our little tree, it's special to me.

I love the last, VERY festive pic!!!

I hope you had a wonderful holiday!!! ♥

our little tree!!! it is festive, isn't it?

We did have a wonderful holiday, thank you, very quiet and low-key. Hope yours was most excellent as well.

Love the food pic (although I've eaten so much over the past three days that the thought of more food makes me a little ill *g*).

there was enough food that we had enough for another meal at home a couple of days later, I love that about Chinese restaurants. I know what you mean though, come the new year this out-of-control intake of food must cease :))

Beautiful pics my dear! Thanks for sharing.

Hope you had a great time with your family.

Happy Holidays ♥ Hugs

I'm having so much fun with these 2 photo projects. I remember how embarrassed my husband was the first time I whipped out my camera to take a picture of our meal, now he organizes the table for the best effect. That's progress D

As always, I'm glad you take the time to stop by and happy holidays to you too :D

I want the PF Changs, I want to go to the play, I like the glass reflection window, but I must protest at the little Christmas tree next to the big assed TV. From you, I want a magnificent blue spruce or northern fir (I'm making shit up), all decked out and taking over the whole house! You are my anchor when it comes to tradition and family stuff.

We had a really nice afternoon/ evening, the play was really terrific and, even more exciting, there didn't used to be more than one or two decent restaurants in downtown San Jose, now happily, times have changed and there are many to choose from.

I know, we have little trees, 3 actually spread around the house because 1) this house is too too too small for anything large and 2) as for blue spruce or northern fir, made-up or otherwise, I am totally allergic to Christmas trees. For years I dealt with headaches all December, then one year, when Lauren was around 2 or 3, I just decided I didn't want to do that anymore. We went pseudo and I have never looked back :DD Does it help any, tradition-wise, that I actually collect Christmas ornament? That's gotta be worth something.

Three trees, allergies and ornament collecting are worth everything. I am at peace again. Are your allergies to all pine type trees? The resin?

the sad truth is that my allergies are to most anything, especially with pollen or resin, especially if there is a scent, natural or artificial, and especially in enclosed places. I can walk by someone, take a whiff of their perfume and the next day, I'll have a major headache, which can last several. I live as much scent-free as I can :(( My dear Lauren, almost unconsciously, checks places like stores for me for any offending smells directing me away before it's too late. For me, the world is made dangerous by those smells that so please everyone else.

Glad you asked?? :D

Alas, we could not live together. I spray stuff all over - fresh laundry scent on pillows, perfume on my body after a shower, lysol in the car. We would be bubble boy friends!

Well, so does my husband, interestingly, bubble gum smelling stuff in his car, smelly perfumed bath soap, smelly blue shit in the toilet, lysol to clean anything, and since you'd probably be easier to live with than him...I'm just sayin' ;D

No, but I do love to dance and I am a quick and willing learner :D
