"Tradition" looks fabulous.

We have such a lovely time celebrating with our friends. It really was fabulous :)

so much beautiful paper! I ended up buying several sheets which are mostly still waiting for me to put pencil to them. Soon, I tell them, very soon.

All this lovely paper is located in a lovely art store named University Art because this, it's original location, is very near to Stanford :)

I read an end of world novel this year in which paper was precious because it was no longer being made. Since then, I feel very guilty if I waste any and try not too.

The book should be mandatory reading, although I think people are becoming much more aware than they used to be especially in packaging. Even amazon has a way you can let them know if a vendor you bought from used too much packaging.

And the name of the book is...? because I love, weirdly perhaps, distopian novels. (spellchecker doesn't like 'distopian' so I clicked to see what it wanted me to use. It's only suggestion is 'pianist :) 'Silly spellchecker)

It might have been Lucifer's Hammer which was set in California or maybe another book? I can't remember. Oy! Lucifer's Hammer was written in the 60s/70s and it shows it age with regard to how it treats women though I did enjoy the science in it.

My favorite dystopian novel this year was Zone One by Colson Whitehead. One of the best i have read. Set in Manhattan. Literary!

Zone One it is then. Thanks!

I can't wait to hear what you have to say about it. I was literally bouncing in glee reading it.

It's actually my dear friend Cindy's table. We celebrate with her family every year and you are right, it is a great tradition!

"Tradition" looks absolutely yummy. :)

Love "Paper" too.

'Tradition' was yummy, but yeah, paper I love. Several sheets came home with me :)

I don't think I would have been able to resist buying some either. :)

I'm like a kid in a candy shop, the only thing that stopping me from buying the whole place out is the cost, most sheets are several dollars each.

Art store paper department

Meiningers here in town have a GREAT paper department. Love it and love papers.

I horde them.

LIke a miser.

I get them out just to look at them once in aw hile.

Re: Art store paper department

As do I. Every time we go there I pick up a few more sheets, which actually makes some sense since it seems like the paper gets more and more expensive every time!

Well, I found another paperphile, he he he.

I received my heritage core kit from Amazon; it's Project Life. and the designer paper. The designs are busy but look amazingly good done with cards printed in antique or sepia.

I checked out the Heritage papers on amazon and the set is lovely. I can imagine they'd look great off either antique or sepia colors. I hope you'll post some photos of your completed cards.

*sits in that empty chair and starts making herself a plate*

We would have loved to have you even though I'm sure your Thanksgiving looked very similar and was just as delicious :)
