Thank you, Kinwad!!!

From YouTube:
Erin Mackey and Randy Harrison (Dot and George in SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE) perform "Move On" in the Guthrie recording studio, accompanied by Musical Director Mark Hartman. See them onstage in SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE

I'm including the painting, A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, as well as an image, from  a different production, of the painting. I love the little cut-out animals!
It adds a bit of poignancy when you realize that Georges Seurat only lived another five years after this painting was completed, dying at 32 years of age. You can't help but wonder what else he might have accomplished given the chance to grow into his mature style.

Sunday in the Park with George is a great play. I remember seeing it being done as a tribute to one of our friends. He'd passed from AIDS and they put on the show in his memory.

What a lovely tribute. I've never had opportunity to see it. Maybe one day :) And as someone mentioned, wouldn't it be wonderful if they filmed this production?

I know that there is a production on You Tube, but I don't think it is this particular one.

Thank you! I will check it out :)

Fingers crossed! At least it will give you an overview of the show.

What a gorgeous set!! I was in Chicago recently with a QaF friend and saw this painting in their gallery and took a pic for that very reason. Randy sounds amazing as usual and looks beautiful.

I know, right? I saw the original in Chicago too! And amazing & beautiful does pretty much sum Randy up :) I'm glad you enjoyed.
