Thanksgiving made this a little easier, but not really.

Wednesday November 24, 2010 Lauren jumps.

Sunday November 21, 2010 We went out to dinner to 'The Old Spaghetti Factory' in downtown San Jose. Their Mazithera & Cheese is to die for. In fact, if you google mazithera (didn't know how to spell it) 'The Old Spaghetti Factory' comes up.

Monday November 22, 2010 My new tires & used rims waiting at the wheel place. They laughed at us when we walked in, commenting on how how cute our tires were because they are sooooo small.

Tuesday November 23, 2010 My new tires & used rims ON THE CAR...wheee!! Lauren dances in the shine.

Thursday November 25 Our Thanksgiving, which, since we knew we'd be celebrating with friends on Friday, was kept simple, Cognac Pork Tenderloin with onions & gravy, mashed potatoes and yogurt & fruit salad. Simple. And yes, the beer is mine, my favorite_Anchor Steam out of San Francisco.

Friday November 26, 2010 Thanksgiving at Cindy's with Lauren & David, Cindy's sister Christie & her husband Don, their mom Sue, Cindy's son Jimmy (as most of you know, Lauren's BFF & Cindy's husband Tim. It was all delicious.

Saturday November 26, 29010 Lauren loves hot chocolate milk in the morning so, one of my mission101  tasks was to find an easy way to give her REAL chocolate, not the dried kind, not that there's anything wrong with that. I'll post the recipe later this week for my mission101 November post.

We did, thank you. How was yours?

It was very low key. It was nice being with family!

Glad you had a good Thanksgiving. I agree, nothing beats hot chocolate made with *real* chocolate, I'm usually too lazy to make the effort though.

We did have a nice Thanksgiving, thanks. This way I've found for the chocolate is easy so, check it out when I post it for mission101 in a couple of days. I think you'll like it.

That chocolate does look amazing. Wow. I look forward to reading about it on mission101. Hope I can make it vegan. And btw, nice placemats you have.

I love Lauren's jump picture. Her cool-looking skinny silhouette reminds me of moving pictures of a former roommate, whose name was, similarly, Loren.

I really liked how Lauren's jump picture came out, she started it but then I made her do it over and over until I got her in the right place and at the right angle. BTW she thinks she's too heavy so...yeah. I hope being reminded of your former roommate, a boy I assume, brings back good memories.
Nov. 30th, 2010 07:19 am (UTC)
Yes--Loren is a guy. He is really skinny! Let her know she's perfect!
Dec. 3rd, 2010 04:19 am (UTC)
I will because, I absolutely agree. Thank you for saying so.
Nov. 30th, 2010 03:37 am (UTC)
Really nice batch this week! My favorites are the first two.
Dec. 3rd, 2010 04:31 am (UTC)
I so glad you like, that means a lot. You favor the two of my family, right? So do I even if the chocolate is kind of awesome too.

awesome and easy and what I like is that you can easily change it up depending on what kind of chocolate pieces you buy. Let me know.

My favorite is Lauren jumping.

I want mazithera and I don't even know what it is.

I make hot chocolate by melting chocolate bars that are made for hot chocolate (its a Spanish semi-sweet) into milk while stirring constantly. Delicious.

Lauren jumping is my favorite too.

Mazithera is a white cheese so, Spaghetti Factory's 'mazithera & cheese' seems redundant but the other cheese is Parmesan. Plus they serve the spaghetti with brown butter so, yeah, very good.

Your hot chocolate sounds very good, but where do you get your special chocolate bars?
Dec. 7th, 2010 07:11 am (UTC)
All the food at the Factory sounds delicious. I just ate apples and yogurt for dinner. :(

The chocolate bars are sold in the Spanish food section in the supermarket. One is in a bright yellow wrapper and there is another brand too. I don't know their names, I just buy them. I will buy some next time I go and take a picture for you. I like to nibble pieces of it every once in a while. Very distinctive taste and it is somewhat crystally like sugar cubes.

wrong icon. :D

while not every night can be a spaghetti factory night, apples and yogurt is more snack than dinner, don't ya think? and thank you in advance, I look forward to seeing the photo of the kind of chocolate you use.

apples and yogurt is more snack than dinner, don't ya think?

Actually, I eat this combo and include cranberries, pecans and sour cream pretty regular as a meal. Two apples when I'm especially hungry. :)
