365 Photography Project Forty-Fifth Post

I wanted to post yesterday, but LJ was having none of it, hence today. Unfortunately, today I am migraining and so, I may ramble, say too much, perhaps not enough. I can never tell. All I know is: My fucking head hurts :(

Sunday August 14, 2011 I had this flash of insight because with me, if fruits and veggies are out-of-sight, they are out-of-mind. They used to live in the opened drawer, which now holds rarely used condiments, while now they live very happily on the door in see-through baggies and they are being CONSUMED. It's a miracle, I tell you. Fruits are on the first shelf and veggies are on the second. I can literally feel the health surging through me.

Monday August 15, 2011 I like how the courtyard reflects into my kitchen window especially with the light on.
Tuesday August 16, 2011 this is basically the same shot as above just directed toward the street. It took me an embarrassing number of attempts to get this because, for it to mean anything, I wanted a car, with headlights, going down the road.

Wednesday August 17, 2011 My dragons!!

Thursday August 18, 2011 Lauren's contribution, the neighbor's kitty AGAIN!!

Friday August 19, 2011 Coming together. In fact, OSH is done and open, but I'm just not there yet posting-wise. Soon, very soon and this will be done :D

Saturday August 20, 2011 Bookclub with Katie and Cindy. Eileen drank too much red wine the night before and so was unable to attend due to a migraine-y headache and Janelle rode her bike 28 miles the day before and so was unable to attend due to back spasms. I should think so!! The book was 'Orange is the new Black', a memoir and those of us who did attend liked it very much.

Home Comforts
As you know, I've been reading "Home Comforts" since forever. Cheryl recommends storing many of your fruits and vegetables in the door. She says that keeping them chilled extends their life, but that they do better if they aren't really cold cold. I have moved most of my veggies onto the top door shelf; not so much with the fruit.

We have the no-see'um, no-eat'um problem, too.

I love the reflections in the second picture; they make for a complex and engaging picture.

I've become interested in night photography, partly because of the paradox of needing light to show the dark. Nice pic. FanSee

Re: Home Comforts
See, and I came to such a good idea all by myself!! I'm glad the it's working for you also, we really have been eating the stuff now, I haven't had to throw away very much at all :D

My problem with night photography is my camera, that shot, with it's very low light, pushed the poor little point&shoot to its extreme. I would be very interested in seeing what you photograph in that direction.
