Thursday April 26, 2012_Coastal fog bank rolls in. The first photo is taken from in front of our house while the second is taken from across the street by the new-ish OSH as David and I walked to dinner at Cup&Saucer.

Friday April 27, 2012_The McHenry Library, the main library, at UCSanta Cruz had a rededication ceremony after completing a major renovation that has taken several years to finish accommodating all sorts of new technology. Mostly attended by alumni, there still was a few of us, I went with Lauren and Jimmy, who are current.

Saturday April 28, 2012_So, of course, I brought Lauren home because there was a textile show I wanted to see downtown at the San Jose Quilt and Textile Museum. This first photo is downtown proper while the second is an exterior reflection photo of Lauren, explaining to me about developmental statistics, in Bijan Bakery's window, which is where we always end up when we go downtown, for their pastry.

An interior photo of the Bijan's I found on the internet.

Loved all the pics... the last one made me want my breakfast... NOW! lol

I'm glad you enjoyed them and yeah, that bakery is such a favorite of ours, the last pick I found online shows only a small fraction of the goods that are available :D Lauren had a little pecan pie while I had an apple strudel.

Love the first one! And the shady street. And the foooooood.

it is lovely when the fog bank rolls on up the coast.

If you look, you'll see the very light rail train Lauren and I took to get downtown!!! It is a very pretty street, they're adding new trees all the time.

The bakery is decedent to the max, we ALWAYS end up there.

Second Street is one of the prettier streets, I think and you can see our lightrail train moving on down toward Santa Clara :D Have you been to the bakery?

I like the fog bank and would love to watch a video of one approaching and eventually enveloping the videographer in gray dew.

I am craving pastry - today I ate two chocolate muffins.

what's so cool is that the fog bank simply drifts along the tops of the hills all the way up toward San Francisco. The fog isn't actually coming towards us, wouldn't sadly envelope us in gray dew, it goes by us heading north.

I always crave pastry and two chocolate muffins sounds just about right. I envy you.

Great pics, loved the fog ones and that last one... YUM!!!!

it's so cool to watch the fog lazily roll up the coast, reminding that there is an ocean just on the other side of those hills.

I was happy to find that last shot online, it perfectly captures the atmosphere and about a quarter of what goodies this bakery has to offer. YUM!! is right :D
