Sunday May 20, 2012_3 indirect photos of the eclipse that at least imply we were there.
In the first, the little purple circle is a reflection of the eclipse made inside my camera when its light bounced between the two mirrors,
In the second, David captured its image through a pinhole onto a second sheet of paper, and
In the third, its shape is reflected in the shadows through the leaves of the trees with my shadow taking the photo.

May 23, 2012_the strange insides of a sweet red pepper...again. I love, obviously, cutting open a red pepper and finding a little herd of green peppers growing inside!! Such pretty colors and with the mama pepper in the background.

May 25, 2012_Thistles in Santa Cruz_We arrived early to pickup the kids so, with time to waste, I took photographs of the thistles skirting a barbed wire fence. Lauren chose which to post, the first because it was the most 'classically' pretty and the second because it was the most 'poignant'. Indeed.

Great set! My favorite is the left thistle.

Ahhh, see? I would have pegged you for a 'Classic' thistle kind of gal, really. Personally, I like 'reflected eclipse made within my camera' because for me, photography is all about the surprises :D

Oh and thank you, I'm glad you stopped by!!

I love the thistle shots, the eclipse tree shadow pic is way cool, and the pepper insides is, as always, erotic.

I'm glad you like the thistles, the wind was blowing a lot and I'm surprised they came out as well as they did and you're right, the insides of peppers are exotic and with such beautiful coloring :D

Love that first one.

I love it when I find strange shapes insides my capsicums as we call them. :)

I never used to find anything but seeds in my capsicums, now I do every few red peppers, so cool!!! The main little green pepper is now turning redish-orange, amazing.

The color and angles of the last three pics have really touched me!

I'm so glad, I especially love the colors of the peppers. Interestingly, the front little green pepper is continuing to change color with parts now more the orangey-red!!

that eclipse photo did came out cool, with the sun, moon, and trees doing all the work for me. I only wish I could have gotten the 'real' thing, maybe next time :D I only get to like thistles, they never come up in my garden, sorry they are a problem for you, from afar, they are pretty.
