Thursday September 13, 2012_Lauren & I got our bloodwork done, at 8am at a blood center which, happily, was directly across the street from one of our favorite breakfast restaurants, Country Inn, for our physicals tomorrow.

Friday September 14, 2012_Lauren and Jimmy created an English Dinner which consisted of a first course of (not shown) broccoli soup with Irish Soda bread, a second course of (shown) Scotch Eggs, Cornish Pasties, and a fresh pea & canellini salad with a dessert course of (not shown) mince meat tartlets, treacle tartlets, (apparently Harry Potter's favorite dessert) and a berry-soaked brioche fruit-stuffed loaf with clotted cream. It took the kids two days to prepare everything actually ordering the treacle from England. Fabulous!!!

Dinner was wonderful, the first time I'd ever had mince pies or treacle tarts. Now, I too, love them both. YUM is right.

What great pictures!

The pictures of the river are bucolic - probably a lot more bucolic now that you lot cleaned it up. What a great way to help the community! Kudos to you, Lauren and the rest of the crew!

The English dinner idea is great...and yummy! What fun!

I'm sure the results of your physicals will be fine. You guys live a pretty clean life. FanSee

Re: Pics
Thank you!!

All together there were 25 of us just for this one spot, it is lovely to see people so involved especially those who set it all up. They bring snacks, water, work gloves, everything we needed. Very cool.

The English dinner was fun and yum and a lot of work. They're thinking French for the next time which means, there will be a next time...YAY!!

Beautiful shots here. I'll admit the crafter in my spent a fair few minutes staring at just the pattern of the table cloth. Something like that would have taken *hours*

The food sounds like it was good...and rich. Probably totally worth it though. (I say probably here because I *know* how many hours my fat butt would have to work out to burn off those calories)

Love river clean up pics. So much blue and green! It almost looks like a perfect fishing spot.

Cindy, the tablecloth owner, cleverly protects it with glass, thank goodness. The food was rich but I hardly ate a thing all day in anticipation so, I should have it worked off in a month or two :DD

The river is very pretty and people do fish there, although I couldn't attest to the their quality.

The English meal was an excellent idea - great that they did that and with so much enthusiasm. I like Scotch eggs and beer.

it was wonderful, they really did take a great deal care with the preparations. I'll have to remember about the beer next time :)
