I am really enjoying the current series of photos you have posted. I can see your skill growing over time and I'm happy for you. It must be very gratifying.

What a wonderful comment, thank you so very much, especially since it means that you're still around, that makes me happy to know :D

Thinking about you today, Gayle. Wondering how you are. Love these pics, especially the maze and the flowering tree.

How far do you travel to see these things?

Since allergy season started, I've hardly been out of the house during the day. Sun and allergies not a good combo for me. Heat in the house makes it difficult to sleep until five in morning.

Believe it or not, I've been doing the 8 or 9 loads of clothes that have been sitting in my tiny laundry room for a long, long time. I needed the containers the clothes were in for clearing space in my basement so my carpet could be cleaned. Success!!!! Today!!! Yay!!!!

EVerything has been about clearing clutter in house, in mind, on computer.

More exercise, eating better, again. Seeing films and watching TV series, three or four. Withdrawing for some reason and letting all that I have learned in the last year settle in, incorporate into myself. I'm happier and more at peace than I have ever been, that I remember. Not interacting with people is part of it.

I weep easily, flashmob doing Ode to Joy had me crying and can't tell if it's sad or happy or touched. Played concert flute for years growing up. Love orchestra music, not hard core symphonic, though.

Beautiful trees I wish I could stop and photography and gorgeous afternoon skies and no where to stop to even use my ipod camera. Have no idea how pollens are doing as of now.

Thanks for the great pics and your faithfulness and dedication. Inspiring!

Me too!! I don't know if you read Connor's comment but he says all the pretty currency is now gone, replaced by the Euro :( Glad I saved as much as I did.

Oh wow! Mazes fascinate me, but I'd get completely lost in one. I can't find my way out of a paper bag if you stuffed me into it head-first. :)

I love mazes too. We didn't walk this one this time, but had done so once before, Lauren and me, without getting lost. I'm sure if you did get lost in this one, they'd have someone handy to come find you :)

Love all your pics.

All that pretty money. It's all gone now - most countries have Euros these days. It's easier, yes, but a pity, too. I loved all those different kinds of money.:)

Thank you!!

I'm glad I thought to keep some money from each country because, as you point out, all of it sure was pretty, so much more so than American money. I didn't actually realize that it had all been replaced by Euros, I kind of thought they were just an in-addition-to. Is sad.

Love the new pic additions. The maze at that angle is beautiful.

Thank you!! And honestly, that maze at any angle is beautiful. We're up on the dining terrace overlook with LA spreading out beyond.

This was only my second time, Lauren and I had visited there maybe 8 years ago with my dad. It was nice being able to take David there this time.

Where were you in LA? I left ages ago, but had grown up out in San Gabriel Valley.

Thank you!!

How wonderful that your kids were exposed to such an amazing venue yearly! Did they also visit the other Getty in Malibu? We had such a nice time there, but for me it was a little nostalgic since the last time Lauren and I were there, it was with my dad, now dead, at least 8 years ago. Sad/ happy memories.

I have no Canadian money, must get me some! I'm glad at least Pounds still exist even if the rest of my European currency doesn't ;(

Thanks for stopping by, sweetie. I appreciate it.

The J Paul Getty Museum is an interesting mix of gallery pavilions, each with a different period of art and one revolving, and gardens. They have a very cool cactus garden and this lovely maze garden. When Lauren was quite little, she and I had an opportunity to wander through it, but, sadly, not this time, but I'm sure we;ll visit again one day. Maybe you wlll too!!
