On my tumblr feed...

...these two things, from very separate places, followed each other so, I decided that meant I should post them both here :)

One:
She read books quickly and compulsively, paperback after paperback, as if she might drift away without the anchor of the printed page.
Jane Hamilton, I am assume this Jane Hamilton, correct me if I'm wrong.

And Two:

To both of these I say Yes. Yes. Yes.

Re: Books and Trees
I know!! I'm trying to figure how to make at least a small one, maybe using our collection of Christmas books!

'The printed page has anchored me through a long life.'

Is this your tree? I'm going to put it into my collections of Christmas trees. Amazing. Did you see it somewhere? I want to go there.

Thanks so much for sharing.

This is NOT my tree but I wished I'd made one like it. I believe it belongs to a library but I don't know where. Someone else found it, photographed it and posted it to another site, tumblr where I found it and brought it over to my journal.

You're very welcome :)

I printed it, but it out but didn't like it. Printed another and like it so much better. Thank you. It will be a unique addition to my collection.

The quote is wonderful and I hope the tree is in a library or university setting.

How empty my life would be without books.

I love the tree. :D

I shudder to even imagine it yet my husband only reads the newspaper and some nonfiction and seems fairly well adjusted. Weird.

So do I!!
