Our upcoming week!! Oh damn!!

You will note, please, that I screeshot my phone at 8:36 this morning when the prediction for today was 101 degrees.
As we speak, it is 3:54 in the afternoon and if you look very carefully, you will notice the discrepency. Of what?? Of 8 full degrees that's what. Because, yeah, 101 degrees isn't bad enough. Oh no!! Let's make it 109. Saving grace is that we have, undoubtedly, hopefully, topped-out. For today anyway.

Tomorrow waits to be seen :) And I hope that it's cooler wherever you are.

109 here in Sacramento too.

But really, my main reaction is thinking I must be going soft after 7 years in NorCal. In Dubai, where I grew up, it would be 115 degrees and 85% humidity at this time of year, so I'm surprised that I'm finding this weather overly hot. As recently as 2012, I played pickup soccer in 106 degrees and 90% humidity once, while interning in Washington, DC. (That was the hottest day in DC's recorded history.)

If you are getting soft then I have always been soft. I couldn't do any of those things. I grew up in San Diego and LA. Two place that may get hot but no humidity! I admire your stamina :)

I do not miss that kind of weather at all! It's supposed to be 121º in Phoenix tomorrow, as opposed to 72º here in Grand Rapids.

I have friends who are coming here from Phoenix this week and for them, this is better! Yikes! Grand Rapids does sound nicer :)

You, too, huh? Not a fun time in C

No. No it's not. And it's not getting any better for at least a few more days, is it? Better on Monday!!

I'm looking forward to it only being 90 on Monday. We'll have to break out the jackets.

It got up to 90 here, which is unbelievably hot for a delicate flower like me, but I'm (knock wood) actually kind of starting to adapt to summers a little bit. It's all about planning. Planning and ice cream. My partner and I are pretty much keeping the Emeryville branch of Mr. Dewie's Cashew Creamery in business right now.

Mainly ice cream, I agree. Sounds like you and your partner are doing it right :)

I just converted to Celsius, and ugh, that's hot! It does get that hot here too, but hasn't so far. Today it was about 33°C.

I just converted fahrenheit to celsius and that's quite hot enough. Hope it doesn't get too much hotter there :) Here, it's remained, daytime-wise, around 103 fahrenheit or 34.9999 celsius.
