Happiness meme_Day three

I just realized what is and will remain the happiest thing about my today.

I got my mission101 post done and what a pain. I'm still working out how to do this the best way so everything changes from moment to moment. Plus I'm so neurotic I have to include every friggin' little thing, but that is the point for me, to track my progression, not so much to strike out what's completed. And I have to admit that this idea is seriously working well for me. I'm very unfocused, very scattered and mission101 focuses me.

So having that done for this month makes me happy, that and the butter pecan ice cream (with chocolate syrup) I'm indulging in as I type. (so much for #7 under Personal which reads: "Lose ten pounds'. I'll start tomorrow for sure.

Happy day everyone.

I'm totally envious of your ability to do this Mission101! I HAVE NO DISCIPLINE!

Mmmmm, butter pecan ice cream! Yum!

I have no discipline either, but I am compulsive about lists, at least for awhile. It's been a month. I'm anxious to see where I am in a year because I have this bad tendency to start things and then let them go. I'm hoping since this is kind of public, I'll keep it up and stay focused. And yeah, the ice cream was Yum!

I was pretty impressed with your list. Though I wish you hadn't mentioned butter pecan icecream...my favorite.

You're my second commenter to mention the ice cream. It's only 10:30am but I may have to go get some more. Notice how most of my list revolves around books, I know where my priorities lay.

Reading and eating...two of my top three things, lol! I love finding a new author, especially when he or she is one who has been writing for awhile and has a body of work I can starting working my way through! It is that way with fanfiction too--love finding someone new to read or a new fandom to explore!

Arwen, who will read the back of the cereal box if nothing else is handy

so awesome that you got your mission101 together. like i said, my head would explode if i even thought of doing one.

thank you. Maybe you could try a mission10 list and see how it goes. Or not.

my biggest problem is, i don't really know what i want to accomplish. my list would probably consist of "read books" and that would be it, mostly.

'my list would probably consist of "read books" and that would be it, mostly.'
Which is a lot of what mine is, but you could also put yours and arlad's story on there and things you like to do, things you know you have to do for school even 'wash dog once a week', anything that makes you feel you're actually accomplishing something. I have 'keep up with f-list' and keep 'up with email'. And honestly, I don't know when I would have gotten started on Lauren's braces if not for the fact that I kept seeing it on list.
I saw on one woman's list 'collect 100 poems and create a book with them'. What a cool idea so I put that one on mine, many leave a few blanks. I'm getting so much just from seeing what others have on their lists. That's how I found out about 100_snapshots. Lauren and I spent an hour last night going through our photos and organizing them according to the word prompts, so I can post later this week.
Seriously, Brit, it's really kind of cool. You could always join the comm but not post a list and see what others are doing and how they're doing it. There's a lot of silliness like 'wear a dress once'. In 34 months, that's really not such a big deal but she was happy she'd accomplished it. But there's some interesting ideas as well. I'm done preaching, swear.

i'll definitely join the comm just to kind of see what other people are doing. perhaps this will be my summer project, putting together some kind of goal sheet.

Ooooh, I like it. That plus roaming around downtown taking pics. And writing poetry and...and...and

two of the items on my list are "fill up my moleskine notebook with my own poetry" and "go on three photoshoots with my friend travis."

and so it starts. I like the idea of using a journal. I look forward to reading poems and looking at photos. You know what would be cool, to use the photos to illustrate the poems? I may try that. It fun to just take photos, but ultimately I like the idea of them having a theme. Apparently I have a need to organize everything.
