Sadly, I have no photos of fireworks...

...our cameras aren't fine enough to capture them BUT I do still have a couple of establishing shots to share

Every year, nearly, we go to Morgan Hill which is about twenty miles south. Little town that does a nice job with the Fourth of July and it's easy in and easy out, if you plan it right.

I know how you feel, I used to have to worry about our cat. Fortunately, the guinea pig did just fine. People here were still setting them off two days later and they're illegal. Maybe next year for you.

4th of July Pictures
Love them, especially the first two. The first one really captures the scope of the crowd, and the second one...well. it's just gorgeous with the sun illuminating the building in the distance.

I clicked on them all and made them bigger...well worth the slight effort.

One of my LJ correspondents, beathen told me that you have to use a tripod for pictures of fireworks. Fwiw. FanSee

Re: 4th of July Pictures
I especially like the second one, so very California. In the third, my daughter was actually looking away when I took the pic, I didn't know I had her face until I checked them later. beathen is undoubtedly right but our cameras are point & shoot and don't even accept a tripod. Did you see quinn222's? Just in case you missed, I'm sending you the link:
